We put a teeny notice in our upcoming September issue, but just didn't have the space to explain our excitement for a new furniture line & studio that made its grand debut this summer.
German company Radius Design has introduced a minimalist, glass-enclosed fireplace that's really quite lovely. The new "Uni" runs on ethanol, requires no chimney, and burns without smoke and particles. Brilliant. Special order it through Susan Wittine, studio proprietor at Design Within Reach in Minneapolis: 612-827-0990. $1,800 and requires a 12 to 16 week wait.
There is never a bad time to stock up on classy candles, prime books, quality bedding, and gifts, but the best time is when they’re on sale.
