I’ve been to several birthday parties this year, but none as memorable as yesterday’s fete for Tom Gunkelman at the Holly Hunt showroom at IMS. Tom—unbelievably—just turned 80 and much of the Minneapolis design community turned out to help him celebrate. This weekend, the Minnetonka Center for the Arts is playing host to a garden-themed lecture series that sounds intriguing: The first one, held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. this Saturday morning, will feature Elaine Anderson, the owner and founder of Red Tortoise Feng Shui in Plymouth.
