Home Envy
Wrap around porch overlooking Lake Harriet.
Last night I ventured over to Linden Hills and checked out Northrup Remodeling’s latest project on Lake Harriet (4124 Queen Avenue). On a scale of one to ten of how much I want to move there right now.... I'm about an 11. The views were breathtaking, they overlook the Lake Harriet blue band shell, and the details were phenomonal, from the black onyx bath to the custom built turret that mimics the legendary band shell. Not to mention the double wrap-around porches. Honestly, it was love at first sight, like I usually am with finely restored homes built circa early 1900s.
And my ultimate must-have: The custom-built wine cellar. Like any normal design aficionado, I took photos on my iphone and sent them immediately to my husband to see if he shared my ecstatic views on moving here immediately—he simply said to put down the vino and chocolate-covered strawberries and drive the two miles home.

LEFT: I PARKED IN THE KITCHEN, NEXT TO THE GORGEOUS BUTCHER BLOCK ISLAND AND
THE UBER FAB LIGHTING. THE FONDUE AND CHAMPAGNE ALSO KEPT ME LINGERING!
RIGHT: LOVED THE CHANDELIER AND THE VAULTED CEILING.

I was also there for the open house!! What a fantastic job Northrup Remodeling has done!
I heard the house is for sale! What a beautiful home this will be for some lucky person(s).
I was also at the open house - it was breathtaking! They did a phenomenal job of incorporating "old" with "new." The house had great character and charm indicative of the early 1900's with all the luxuries of a modern-day home. Love it!
