“It’s an excellent home for entertaining and family use,” says Steve Schwieters, owner of Wooddale Builders, Inc. “It is well laid out for a family or for an empty-nest couple.”
Dormer windows and craftsman details create cozy, casual curb appeal. Lined with inviting landscaping, the front porch welcomes guests and creates the first of several outdoor living spaces.
Cherry doors with transom windows open to an interior defined by walnut flooring, elegant light fixtures, and handsome cherry, raised-panel pillars and cabinetry. Likewise, cherry pillars mark the entrance to the formal dining room. Hosts can access a wine cooler and table settings in the nearby butler’s pantry.
A powder room continues the upscale feel with its furniture-style vanity and black commode. Across the foyer, the built-in office is ready for action with patterned carpet, a warm cherry built-in desk, and shelving on display through beveled glass doors.
Refined details extend into the great room, informal dining area, and kitchen, where multiple windows welcome the sunny vistas of the backyard and nature preserve. The open layout highlights the great room’s cultured stone fireplace with cherry mantel and cabinetry.
A breakfast area is situated next to the deck and kitchen, where a bi-level island sits at an angle. “Everyone’s looking for special features in a kitchen today,” Schwieters notes. “This is a highly functional kitchen with all the newest innovative appliances and a walk-in corner pantry.”

The spacious, walk-out lower level features a fireplace and high-tech entertainment center with a 60-inch TV. A pool table, game table, bar, and wine cellar complete the amenities. A bedroom and tiled bath await visits from close relatives and friends.
Up the wide staircase past picture windows, sits two suites and two bedrooms. A guest suite with a tiled shower and bath reflects glamorous flair, while a Jack-and-Jill bath, with durable cultured marble counters and tile floors, divides two more bedrooms. Polished elegance abounds in the owner’s suite, which begins with a red vestibule. A deep tray ceiling adds height above the bed and an alcove allows space for a desk.
The bath is a dream in cream—raised-panel woodwork, columns, and ceramic tile surround the tub. Dramatic black granite countertops accent the dual vanity and gilded mirror. The walk-in tiled shower includes a body spray, while in-floor heating ensures after shower comfort.
Even the prosaic feels special in this home thanks to granite and tile in the laundry room and an epoxy floor in the heated garage. The mudroom has cherry lockers and a bench, and a sound and security system completes the functionality. Outdoors, a low-maintenance deck overlooks the preserve, while large trees maximize privacy. Inside the foundation, two-inch rigid poured wall insulation ensures water tightness. Stamped concrete enhances the driveway, patio, and paths.
With multiple ways to enjoy a touch of class indoors and out, this home is a veritable Eden—in Eden Prairie, that is.
