On any given weekend, you will find Krista Schwartz hard at work on a home improvement project—or walking through an open house imagining what could be.

“I live and breathe design and construction,” she admits. “I love walking through older homes on the market and envisioning the remodeling and design possibilities.”

Krista has been actively designing for 15 years. She started Indicia Interior Design and Furnish-ings with her husband, Don, in 2002. Indicia offers services for an individual room or the whole home, covering design, furnishings, remodeling, and new construction.

Krista prides herself on organization and enjoys bringing that dimension to her work, through her designs themselves and the way she and fellow designers Terri Reineccius and Katie Grondahl smoothly manage each project.

“It is our job to think through all the details,” Krista says, “so our clients can focus on the big picture and have fun with the project, because it should be fun and exciting.

“We work with our clients to find solutions that will make their home the best, whatever their definition of ‘best’ may be: function, comfort, beauty, or safety.”
