Punch Party
You may be telling your guests to BYOB, but liven up the gathering with a group-friendly punch, too. It’ll serve – and satisfy – the masses.
Orange Dream Punch –
Servings: 30 (4 ounce)Ingredients:
1/2 gallon orange sherbet
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale
Preparation:
Place the sherbet and frozen orange juice concentrate in a punch bowl. Allow it to thaw for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in the ginger ale and serve.
Champagne Shorbet –
(alcoholic)Servings: 20
Ingredients:
2 bottles of Champagne (Or sparkling wine)
1 bottle of White Wine (Dessert wine)
1 quart of Sherbet (Lemon)
Preparation:
Stir gently the champagne and the white wine into a punch bowl. Add a large block of ice and scoops of lemon sherbet. Garnish with frozen lemon slices.
Blue Hawaii –
(alcoholic)Ingredients:
1 bottle of Champagne
1 bottle of Blue Hawaiian Maui Schnapps
Pineapple Juice
Preparation:
Add both bottles of alcohol and then pineapple juice to taste.
Fruit Punch –
Servings: 30 (4 ounce) servingsIngredients:
1/2 (64 fluid ounce) bottle fruit punch, chilled
1/2 (64 fluid ounce) bottle unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
1/2 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
4 cups orange sherbet
Preparation:
Mix together the fruit punch, pineapple juice and ginger ale in a punch bowl. Add scoops of sherbet into the punch. Wait for the sherbet to begin to melt (approximately 10 minutes). Stir gently and serve.
Snowball –
(hot, alcoholic)Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Cinnamon Schnapps
1/2 oz. Kahlua
5 oz. Coffee (Hot)
Preparation:
Pour all ingredients into a coffee mug. Garnish with whipped cream.
Harvest Punch –
(hot)Ingredients:
1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate -- thawed
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate -- thawed
1 (6 oz.) can frozen pineapple juice concentrate -- thawed
10 c. water
6 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a 4-quart saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Take out cloves and cinnamon and discard. Serve hot.
