Dwelling Designs shows off its new digs

Dwelling Designs is the latest addition to the North Loop’s burgeoning design district. A transplant from the north end of Edina’s “Furniture Row” (a.k.a. 50th and France), the store is a natural in this urban loft-filled neighborhood. The industrial-chic brick and concrete of the new 1,500-square-foot, street-level shop front perfectly complements the neutral, clean-lined good looks of the customizable furniture on display. The collection includes John Charles Design upholstered pieces, Robert Abbey Lighting, Rug Studio and Chilewich floor coverings, Cole River Company accessories, and other lines that embody the firm’s modern-with-global-influences aesthetic. Business partners Ammar Steven Alshash and Kayla Vig offer clients a variety of design- and space-planning services. Another bonus of the firm’s new location in the Harvester Lofts building: Three model units on the upper floors that showcase not only Dwelling Designs’ custom furnishings, but also the duo’s interior design skills.
