Roam brings Euro-flair to Minneapolis

Move over Chicago, Minneapolis’ design district is growing. Roam, a retailer selling classic modern home furnishings and accessories is the latest addition. Located next to Ligne Roset, across Glenwood Avenue from International Market Square, the 2,500-square-foot space has something for everyone—including designs from Minneapolis-based Blu Dot, Alessi Shop-n-Shop, Magis, Mandarina Duck, Josh Jakus, Blomus, and more. “The beauty of modern design is that everything is classic and can blend in with all other styles of life,” says store manager Tara Larson. While Ligne Roset and Roam are connected via a doorway, and are both owned by John and Susan Stedman, each space is a distinct entity. “Roam is a perfect complement to Ligne Roset,” Larson says. “Together they make the European lifestyle available in the Midwest.”
