bathed in beauty

Part of a significant remodeling project that added a second floor to a Minneapolis rambler, this master bath takes a cue from the home’s Craftsman style and marries it with traditional elements.
1 Hexagonal tile patterns represent the style and finishes of truly antique homes. The heated floor keeps feet cozy warm during cool weather.
2 A freestanding tub with a ring base is a traditionally styled focal point. But don’t call it old-fashioned: This tub has air jets for a spa experience.
3 With granite countertops and custom cabinetry, the vanity adds an air of elegance.
4 A chandelier with updated golden silver finish, pleated ivory shades, and crystal accents gives the bath a touch of traditional grandeur with a hint of sparkle.

Before it was remodeled, this kitchen was disconnected from the rest of the home and suffered from inefficient workspace. The new layout provides a terrific kitchen working environment and a style that reflects the personality of its owners. Call it a perfect match to a traditional home with metropolitan flair.
1 A sleek Wolf cooktop allows for convenient storage of pots and pans underneath. Two deep drawers maximize space in the kitchen.
2 Calcutta marble countertops and subway cut backsplash tiles create a clean, vintage aesthetic for the space.
3 Deep-stained custom cherry cabinetry with flat frame inset doors and drawers featuring satin nickel hardware beautifully contrast with the white marble to create a clean, metropolitan style.
4 A vintage design made of modern materials, the stainless steel farmhouse sink is a distinct transitional element.

Comfortable and contemporary, sleek and unique. That’s what the owners of this new home envisioned for their new kitchen. The clients wanted plenty of storage without typical cabinets and plenty of space for entertaining friends. The result? A geometric kitchen combining form and function, designed for entertaining in style.
1 A sleek storage wall with curved doors, stainless pulls, and easy-to-access rollout trays provides a contemporary solution to standard wall cabinetry.
2 The angled island with multi-level countertops, clean lines, and sleek textures complements the unique shape of the room and sets the stage for high-style entertaining.

A remodeling project transformed a dark, dated, isolated kitchen into this light-filled, open entertaining space. A rarely used den became the new informal eating/sitting area; the wall between these rooms was opened to pull light into the kitchen and give it a visual connection to the front yard, where the children of this family of six often play.
1 The expanded center island anchors the kitchen; the island and other counters are topped with tropical brown granite.
2 The custom stone mantel over the cooktop and Pietra Art polished travertine tile backsplash add elegance.
3 Painted cabinetry provides plenty of storage, including hidden cabinets in the paneling at the arched room divider.

innovative surfaces
As a custom fabricator and installer of premium kitchen surfaces, Innovative Surfaces can supply your kitchen with solid surface products; quartz surfaces; natural stone; and specialty surfaces. Combine any of these materials for a design that’s unique and distinctive.
1 A combination of wood and Corian® solid surface demonstrate two of today’s hottest trends in surfacing: the use of softer/warmer aesthetics—moving away from cold, hard, and shiny—and the mixing of surfacing materials, lending greater texture to the space.
2 This kitchen incorporates natural design and the use of natural elements for their visual charm and welcoming, soothing appeal. These materials evoke nature and provide a direct, cohesive link between other natural elements used in the space.
