Interior Design
As you make plans to update a room, designers recommend clipping out pictures of the looks, styles, and colors that you like and keeping them in a file. Bring the file to your meeting with an interior designer to give him or her a visual palette of your tastes.

How did you get here?
As a successful accountant, Martha O’Hara never expected to become a leading interior designer. But she was missing a creative outlet and wanted to explore her artistic depths. It has now been 18 years since O’Hara began her design firm and she is still pushing boundaries in the Midwest. Martha O’Hara Interiors designs homes across the continent, but Minneapolis remains O’Hara’s favorite place to work. Why? “I grew up in Tennessee and love to bring a hint of the South into the interiors I design,” says O’Hara.
What is your philosophy?
O’Hara recognizes that each project must reflect her clients’ personal expression while also maintaining a lasting allure. Her goal is to make every home a distinct expression of its owner.
Our key to success…
From New York City to Hawaii, Martha O’Hara Interiors completes hundreds of residential design projects across the United States each year. For O’Hara, it is critical that each project represents a seamless design process—one that may incorporate interior and architectural design, space planning and building collaboration.
You may not know…
Martha O’Hara Interiors employs a team of nine master designers. While a client may interface with only one or two of these experts, many other designers (including Martha herself) will contribute their expertise to the project. O’Hara finds that the creative interplay between designers produces an even better result for the client.

Ethel Gustafson, known for her decades of design work for Stonewood, LLC, saw that a connection was missing between new construction selections and furnishing design. Her vision was to create a design house with experts not only in the construction design process, but also in custom furnishings.
