Furnishings
A chaise so comfortable it’s almost decadent. An antique table with rich patina. A vibrant hand-blown glass vase. A statue that’s a guaranteed conversation starter. These are the finishing touches that bring a room to life.
Each of us has a sense of personal style. Fortunately, the Twin Cities area has many fine retailers and showrooms, with furnishings that are certain to satisfy every style, taste, and preference imaginable. If you go for the instant gratification of a retail shop or showroom purchase, don’t forget to measure before you buy!

How it began…
Max and Edna Schneiderman started with a small country grocery and hardware store in northern Minnesota. The store grew and expanded to furniture in the late 1960s. Brothers Larry and Russ Schneiderman purchased the store in the 1970s and began their expansion, which has extended to seven locations in northern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro area.
What is your motto?
Schneiderman’s has always been about quality, style, value, and outstanding service. We seek to appeal to the customer who wants to buy better furniture, but still wants value and service. We offer better furniture brands in four lifestyle categories: Urban Outlook, Casual, Casual Traditional, and Traditional.
We recommend…
Recently, we have added two great new collections to our showrooms that represent two completely different style choices for our customers. The Tommy Bahama Kingstown Collection’s exotic look offers the sense of a well-traveled life. For those with a taste for clean lines, our Stanley Continuum Collection represents a broad range of looks from reliable traditional to sleek modern.
Why Schneiderman’s?
Our customer wants to buy quality and wants fashion—and they are looking for furniture that will be a source of pride for several years. We value our customers and treat them accordingly.
TREND TALK “Gone are the traditional carvings and over-the-top detailings of previous years. From traditional looks into more contemporary, look for an honest design with details, finish, and shaping that enhance and celebrate the shape of the piece without overwhelming the look.” –Susan Strong, Schneiderman’s Furniture
