Our most challenging (and rewarding) experience:
We had a customer approach us with the idea to tear down their existing river home and replace it with a new structure. The new home was to look like it had been there for years, yet have all the luxuries and efficiency of a modern home. It was to be stylishly and architecturally appropriate, and built with quality materials to stand the test of time. Our in-house design team, along with the owners, came up with the perfect plan. Once the home was finished and opened as a Dream Home in the parade of homes, many people asked, “When was this home built?” To which I replied with a smile, “About four days ago.” Mission accomplished!

Our team approach. It’s a great advantage to our clients to have access to the creative talents and resources of our in-house design team Julie and Mary, the financial knowledge and expertise of our accountant Jessica, and the input, ideas, and experience of our vice president, Chad. What do you offer over the competition?
Founded in 1978, we are a third-generation company celebrating our 35th anniversary this year, building and renovating Minnesota’s finest homes. We specialize in everything from large estate home construction, to empty-nest homes, to lake cabins, all the way to simple mudroom remodels. Not only have our clients come to expect a high quality product, they’re provided with the best possible experience through our team-oriented approach. We also bring to the table the experience, longevity, and financial stability that is necessary to service and warranty our clients’ homes long into the future.
A true sign of a solid reputation:
Since our company was founded, we have survived multiple market downturns and still remained strong. We have never reorganized or changed names or owners. Our builders’ license number is BC001408, which is one of the lowest in the industry today. We have a full staff of 25 carpenters, allowing us to keep the highest level of quality and most effective project management. Each project, regardless of the size or scope, has its own job superintendent devoted specifically to that project from start to finish, unlike some builders who have job superintendents managing multiple jobs at a time. Furthermore, President Gary Kraemer and his two sons, John and Jeff, are personally involved in every project. While some builders disappear after a project is done, we are there long after we hand our clients the keys to ensure that we have exceeded their expectations.
