Nor-Son Receives Two Prestigious Awards
Local custom builder Nor-Son, Inc. was recently honored by Minnesota Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) with prestigious Pyramid Awards for outstanding achievement and quality workmanship in the categories of “Residential Single Family, $1-5 million” for their beautiful Summer Kitchen project; and “Healthcare - $1-5 million” for The Garden House at St. Mary’s. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted from across the state and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and budget.
Nor-Son successfully cast a vision rich with family tradition in the design and construction of the Summer Kitchen. Designed exclusively for entertaining through the summer months, large exterior cedar and glass bi-fold doors provide easy access to lakeside activities, while power phantom screens drop to create a porch-like environment.
Nor-Son utilized its residential and healthcare expertise to design and build a 13,000-square-foot memory care house for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia, working closely with the Living Services Foundation and Benedictine Health System. Each household includes living, dining, and family space surrounding a high-end residential style kitchen, creating a warm, comforting environment. nor-son.com
