crateandbarrel.comCrate and Barrel furniture has landed in the Twin Cities.
The distinctive retailer is no stranger to the metro area, certainly: Crate and Barrel has had a 20-year presence in Minnesota and has developed a loyal following. But in the past, its furniture has only been available locally through the Crate and Barrel website.
No longer, with the opening of a brand-new Crate and Barrel home store in March—now the Twin Cities’ singular location.
It is an opportunity to offer Crate and Barrel’s complete collection. Kate Showalter, Crate and Barrel’s Midwest area manager, says, “We’re really excited about the quality and value we can offer in the furniture collection. It can speak to anyone’s home...it’s warm and it’s inviting and it’s comfortable.”
The home store has a more complete offering, including Crate and Barrel’s upholstery, dining, bedroom, media, and home office collections. Showalter says, “The main floor encompasses glassware, tabletop collections, and ready-to-assemble furniture. The second floor is a series of vignettes of furniture and furnishings, organized by styles and color, laid out so that it feels as though you’re walking through a home.”
“We take a lot of pride in our visual merchandising; it’s all about inspiration,” Showalter continues. She calls the Edina store “forward-thinking:” “It’s very trend-forward, but at the same time, it’s going to fit into every classic style.”
The store’s staff came from Crate and Barrel’s previous locations, so they bring experience and extensive product knowledge to Edina and have been trained to do floor plan layouts. “We’re definitely visual merchants and we want to make your room as beautiful as you see in the store,” Showalter says.
A beautiful new location with exclusive high-quality products and the opportunity to check out Crate and Barrel’s furniture collections in person make this store a must-see.
“I feel like you can really make something your own here,” Showalter says. “It’s special enough to be yours, and yet you feel like you’re getting a really good value.”
