rbctile.comTo stretch your imagination when it comes to what can be done with tile, a visit to RBC Tile & Stone is a must.
RBC has you covered on essential, more traditional types of tile. But the showroom is known for products—porcelain, glass, metal, and wood tile—that push the envelope. Showroom consultant Sarah Spinner likens it to having both the bread-and-butter tile…and dessert.
“RBC always has prided itself in having not only the standards or the essentials, but also cutting-edge products,” she says. “One of our specialties is having cutting-edge design. We have the specialty products and we have the more unusual type products.”
The company displays these myriad types of tile in its two showrooms in Plymouth and Roseville. Each showroom has its own personality, Spinner says. The Roseville showroom is hands-on, with many samples of tile on floor mats (its best to examine tile both close up and while standing, Spinner advises). The Plymouth showroom is “almost like an art gallery of tile,” she continues, with a number of displays and vignettes. Featured brands at both locations include Casa dolce Casa, Caesar, Oceanside Glasstile, and Walker Zanger.
Walk-ins are always welcome at RBC Tile & Stone, but Spinner recommends appointments for larger jobs, especially those involving multiple rooms. RBC’s showroom consultants all have design backgrounds, so they are able to assist as much as a homeowner would like. They can create sketches to assist not only clients, but also the tile-setters who do the actual installation.
The showroom is always trying to be ahead of the curve, Spinner says—not just with the tile it carries, but the services it provides.
“RBC prides itself on customer service, so when you come in with even the smallest job, up to the grandest…we’re here to make the tile selection process easy and fun,” she says. “I like to think of tile as the jewelry of a home; you have to see it to be able to make it happen. I think that’s one of our biggest assets here: Everybody has vision, and that’s huge.”
