IFDA’s Design in the Community comes to Excelsior

A historic Excelsior home, recently renovated and decorated by International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) members, will be open for tours during the first weekend of October. When it was last sold in 2004, the 109-year-old house at 182 Third St. was considered a teardown. Instead, the two-story Victorian was restored and will be open to the public during “Design in the Community: IFDA Presents Historic Excelsior.” Tours will be Friday, October 6, 12-8 p.m.; Saturday, October 7, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, October 8, 12-4 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $16. Step inside and see the renovation that has transformed the home’s interior into a beautiful classic, and while you’re in the neighborhood, check out the unique lakeside town of Excelsior. Visit www.ifda-mn.com for details.
