The IFDA Luxury Master Suite

Experience a fusion of contemporary and traditional sensibilities, with a move toward luxury in a restful, zen-like environment. This 1,700-square-foot master sanctuary boasts amenities such as a sitting room, natural stone fireplace and custom coffee bar that lead into the ultimate spa bathroom.

The bathroom is a peaceful combination of sophistication and natural elements. The floor and walk-in shower are wrapped in limestone with accents of pebbles and glass. IFDA designers have chosen rich earth tones and subtle soothing colors with the combination of texture and elements to create a serene and tranquil space. Unique components such as a rough-edged pine vanity, topped with liquid glass, zen-inspired lighting and a rain shower will leave you feeling relaxed in this spa-like area.

Custom fabrics, furnishings and finishes have been chosen to encourage relaxation and foster a peaceful state of mind.

Julie joined IFDA in January of 2007, but has been involved with IFDA as a Partner since 2005, when she began working as a designer with Twin Cities Closet Company. Her work in design began in 2004 when she left her 9-year long career in Physical Therapy to attend Century College’s Kitchen and Bath Design Program. After graduating, Julie found her niche in the custom closet industry. Julie designed the closets for last October’s Design in the Community event in Excelsior. She currently serves on the Board of Directors’ Communication/Newsletter Committee.

Andreas began painting at an early age and continued through graduation from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Now more focused on European finishes, his artistry is influenced by teaching he received at SAIT, Vandalae Studios in Seattle, Vigini Studios in San Antonio, and The Finishing School in New York and Pennsylvania. His work has helped houses showcased in the Parade of Homes win Trillium, Reggie Design and People’s Choice awards around the Twin Cities. Artistic Finishes by Andreas’ goal is to produce unique and fresh ideas by applying high quality artistic finishes with the newest techniques. From rough or smooth textures to glazes of mood tones, our specialty finishes will convey character and themes that reflect your lifestyle.

Julie Barker is an active member of IFDA and represents Natural Stone & Tile. She is currently managing the NST showroom in Brooklyn Park and has a well known background in interior design. NST offers a large selection of ceramic, porcelain, granite, slate, marble, travertine, limestone, metal, glass and mosaic tiles. The variety NST provides allows Julie to create a unique design to suit every customer. They also install granite countertops to ensure the completion of your project. Carla’s design philosophy focuses on each clients’ individual luxury. Their home is a reflection of personality and individuality. Luxury can range from the purist to the guilded. This is what being an interior designer is all about. Carla specializes in hospitality projects that focus on incorporating commercial and residential. She has worked on senior housing developments, condominium complexes as well as universally designed homes and environmental building and living.
