The new Gabberts showroom is well designed and executed—it’s the kind of home furnishings store you could live in. Regardless of your personal comfort or style preference, you can’t help but appreciate everything you see in this spectacular space, which was unveiled in February. The new showroom continues Gabberts’ traditions of quality and value. Today’s showroom is easy to navigate and is filled with beautiful natural light.
The showroom focuses on three lifestyles—traditional, contemporary, and casual. Within each is a series of “viewpoints,” places where customers may experience what it would be like to have their home furnished in a certain style—Italian, French, Arts and Crafts, loft, 18th Century, and urban, among others. The viewpoints are idea generators too, for those who want to mix and match styles and colors amidst a broad range of choices.
The showroom is filled with fine furniture lines, including Francesco Molon, Theodore & Alexander, Scott Thomas, Hancock & Moore, Century, Hickory Chair, and Jonathan Charles. The store has an exclusive relationship with Stickley, so you will see a rich assortment of the entire Stickley line here. Additionally, Gabberts offers a selection of fine quality overseas furnishings.
“We have assembled a collection of unique accessory lines and art—products that we have sourced from Asia, Europe and throughout the United States,” says Rebecca Miller, President of Gabberts. “A Gabberts client sees their home as important, a reflection of themselves, worth investing in, and wants it to be beautiful.”
The new showroom includes a spacious area known as “The Great Room,” which hosts numerous events and seminars—more than 100 scheduled this year.
But one of the most notable aspects of Gabberts is that it’s more than a showroom: “We are unique in the sense that we have both a showroom and a design studio,” Miller explains. “We have an impressive team of highly credentialed designers in the studio.”
Homeowners are invited to visit the showroom to browse for ideas, or they can sit down in the studio and work with one of 27 designers (in the latter case, scheduling an appointment is helpful). The studio’s “Inspiration Center” has at-your-fingertips resources—from fabric to leather, paint to finishes—and digital room planning on a series of computers. You’ll also find custom-designed unique sofas that demonstrate a wide variety of cushions, arms, and skirt selections on one piece of furniture.
“When you come to Gabberts...you’ll enjoy the years of experience and trust our brand has built,” Miller says.
Gabberts has always been known as a leader in its industry. One walk through its new showroom, and it’s easy to see why.
“There’s a certain sensibility in how we’ve designed the store, created our displays, and how we’ve turned our retail space into something that’s more experiential for the customer,” Miller says. “It’s a stunning new store.”
