Granite Tops boasts a fine selection of stones from around the world. Whether granite, marble, soapstone, quartz, or limestone, the stones at Granite Tops are beautiful and of rock-solid quality.

The company has showrooms in Cold Spring and Albertville and is opening a third in the Becker Furniture World Home Center. Each showroom features varieties of kitchens and vignette displays highlighting different types of stone and various edging styles. “Stone towers” give customers a better look at a sample of stone: “Instead of looking at a 12-by-12 sample, you’re able to look at a 2-foot-by-3-foot slab that rolls out of a drawer,” explains Curt Sauer, vice president of sales and marketing for Granite Tops.

In addition to stone from exotic locales like Brazil, India or Russia, you will find domestic stone here, too—including Vetterstone Limestone, quarried in Minnesota near Mankato, which comes in slabs up to 2 inches thick. “We’re introducing that as part of a new look for countertops and vanities,” Sauer says. “For the homeowner that is looking for something different that nobody else has, we’ve got the product that fits the bill.”

Vignette installations give customers a sense of the possibilities offered by stone. Complementing gorgeous stone surfaces and countertops, you’ll find vanity applications, varying styles of sinks and vessels, and a variety of faucet examples. Customers also will find cabinetry door samples with 40 stain combinations to help them match the right color stone to their home cabinets.

The company is unique in that both its Cold Spring and Albertville locations include fabrication facilities, which customers can tour to have a better understanding of how the stone is cut and polished. Granite Tops is also a fabricator, and is a supplier of Silestone Quartz. Silestone is the largest quartz supplier in the world, with a color palette of 45 colors with various textures.

The company’s newest showroom space is opening at Becker Furniture World Home Design Center. Here, customers will find a 4,000-square-foot home built inside of the 12,000-square-foot design center. Granite Tops surfaces in the home are sure to offer ideas galore.

“Our showrooms are large and spacious...they show a nice variety of product and ideas…and if we can, we provide samples for people to take home,” Sauer says. “They’re going to be treated very well and hopefully will be more knowledgeable when they leave.”

Albertville showroom hours:

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
