You might say the design philosophy of Kitchens by Krengel is “out of the box, but not in outer space,” says owner Lori Jo Krengel, CMKBD.  In other words, at this showroom, you will see unique ideas and space-saving design that’s applicable to a home just like yours. Expect a warm welcome from the moment you step through the door. The showroom includes 10 vignettes of kitchens, most fairly traditional with one in contemporary style. Look for top-of-the-line appliances like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, and Fisher & Paykel; fixtures from KWC, Delta, Kohler and American Standard; Wood-Mode Brookhaven cabinetry; several varieties of stone; and all sorts of little surprises.

“Behind every door and every little nook and cranny, there’s something of merit,” Krengel says.

Kitchens by Krengel is a family design-build firm—with 50 years in business, it’s the oldest in the upper Midwest. Krengel herself is a 20-year veteran and a certified interior designer. The firm has won numerous awards and boasts an experienced team of its own carpenters. Showroom appointments are recommended.

“We do fantastic design, we have fabulous products, and great execution,” Krengel says. “We’re really trying to show design and products that will stand the test of time.” Or, as she says to clients, “We want to do your kitchen only once.”
