For anyone who has driven along the Crosstown Highway along the southern border of Minneapolis, Peters Billiards is a familiar landmark. Peters, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, has always been a game room store, and its new showroom hasn’t moved from its old location. And you will still find an excellent selection of billiards tables, game tables, and kitchen and bar stools. But the expanded 37,000-square-foot space—the largest game room store in the five-state area—now offers more display space and a plethora of home furnishings. Don’t miss the mahogany-adorned antique room, brought from a mansion in Boston, painstakingly restored, and furnished with an antique pool table; the showroom’s beautiful and cozy fire places; or a unique log pool table. “We have a lot of one-of-a-kind furniture products,” Peterson says, adding that the new space is bright and sunlit and aims to capture a homey, family-friendly atmosphere.

Peters is the metro area’s source for quality pool tables. In addition, the showroom offers a huge selection of other game tables, including tables for cards, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey, and pinball machines.

Peters Billiards also specializes in kitchen and bar stools; many game rooms have some kind of counter or bar area, so stools have been part of his business for 25 years, Peterson explains: “That’s been our niche for many years.” You’ll find more than 300 kitchen and bar stools on display at Peters, all high-quality, top-brand furniture in wood, fabrics and leathers, from traditional to rustic to contemporary. The showroom also designs custom bars and home entertainment centers. “We do have stock bars and entertainment centers but most of our business is custom; we fit it to your space, taste, and design needs,” Peterson says.

And there’s more: Peters also offers dining tables, game tables that convert into dining tables, couches, home theater seating and wall art—pretty much anything that a homeowner might want in his or her game room.
