Cost Plus Comeback
The discount home furnishings and décor retailer Cost Plus World Market left the Twin Cities market in 2009, but will be reopening two new stores in Bloomington and Roseville this month. The business began in the 1950s, when a San Francisco businessman began importing hand-woven wicker goods to sell at the city’s piers, and today continues to bring household goods—baskets, pottery, and artwork, among them—from global bazaars as far away as Portugal and Bali to American shoppers. • 4250 W. 78th St., Bloomington; 2401 Fairview Ave. N., Roseville; worldmarket.com
